Castle Analytical Laboratory was established in 1995 to serve the Central Valley of California’s environmental testing market with an emphasis on the California Leaking Underground Fuel Tank (LUFT) Program. In 2005 Castle Analytical purchased Sherwood Labs (Hilmar, CA) to expand the business to include PCB analytical services to public utilities, transformer testing services and hazardous waste haulers through out the United States. Sherwood Labs is now part of Castle Analytical Laboratory in Atwater, CA. Jim Phillips, Laboratory Director, has over twenty-five years of laboratory experience in environmental, FIFRA, and food laboratories. Mr. Phillips obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from California State University, Fresno. Clari Cone, Laboratory Manager, has over twenty-five years of laboratory experience in environmental, research and FIFRA laboratories. She has extensive experience in both organic and inorganic areas of analysis. Mrs. Cone has an M.S. in Chemistry from California State University, Fresno. Castle Analytical is experienced in the analysis of air, soil, water, oil, sludge, wastes and solid materials. With experience in PCB analysis of over 20 years each our PCB chemist and technician can analyze for PCB’s in a wide variety of sample matrices. Castle Analytical’s client base includes governmental agencies, engineering firms, private consultants, private and public utility companies as well as individual homeowners.
